MS Office for Employee's Personal Computers
The Home Use Program is an employee purchase program from Microsoft. It offers Office 365 Home and Personal—premium, up-to-date software—at a discounted rate through the City.
City employees can purchase at a 30% discount on Office 365 Home or Personal annual subscription for use at home. The savings rate is locked in for one’s annual subscription until the subscriber cancels it. This program is a benefit of the City’s enterprise-wide software licensing agreement with Microsoft.
How it works
To get a copy, visit this site and enter your City roundrocktexas.gov email address. You will receive a confirmation email with a link to purchase the Office suite. Follow the site’s instructions to complete your purchase. You will be asked for your personal email address here to link to your home office account.
When new versions or products are added, employees can purchase a copy. Check the link periodically to see what’s available.
The IT department encourages all current City of Round Rock employees to take advantage of this benefit and access Microsoft's latest software for use at home.
