Microsoft SharePoint - What is SharePoint?


The City of Round Rock utilizes Microsoft 365 cloud services to provide, not only the latest Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneNote), but also a powerful set of cloud-based collaboration services including Teams, SharePoint, and Planner. The list of services is continually evolving and growing. Microsoft 365 is an important platform of technology available to City of Round Rock staff.

SharePoint is part of the Microsoft 365 suite and the City has chosen SharePoint, along with OneDrive, as the preferred file storage and collaboration platform. SharePoint can be utilized for much more than just file storage. Watch this quick video to see an overview of SharePoint.
